Beer Clams On The Barbie

You don’t need a he-man 55 gallon grill to create tasty recipes. Any size will do for this simple and delicious grilled seafood recipe? Have you considered grilled clams? Simple and easy to prepare, perfect for a romantic dinner fire side, or a small dinner party. Serve these delicious little neck clams with a cold beer, or a nice bottle of white wine.

Ingredients

Beer Clams On The Barbie


This Recipe Serves: 4 people

Your Prep Time: 5min

Cook Time: 15min


1/2 can 12-oz beer
1/4 cup honey barbecue sauce
3 dozen littleneck clams, scrubbed
juice of 1/2 lemon

Preparation:

  • Fire up the grill to medium heat.
  • Mix together wet ingredients
  • Place clean and debearded clams on a sheet pan covered with heavy-duty
  • Drizzle with the lemon juice, barbecue sauce, and beer mixture.
  • Fold over the alumimum foil to create a loose foil packet for the clams. Leave room for the clams to open.
  • Put the foil pack on the grill over medium heat or indirect coals, cover, and grill the foil packet for 15 minutes, until the clams open and the liquid in the foil is bubbling.
  • Do not eat the unopened clams discard

  • Thank you so much, I’ll have to subscribe your feed and read the rest I think. The first date my wife and I had nearly 20 years ago now was a lovely seafood restaurant in Napoli, so I’ve been spending ages trying to find a decent grilled lobster recipe like we had that night – our anniversary is next month so I’m hoping to surprise her!
